The beginning of August is time for Summerfest again. This event combines culture, entertainment and art all into one incredible night of fun. Whether you want to enjoy the many live performances, grab a bite to eat from the top area food trucks or let the kids be kids in the kids zone, this is the place to be on August 2nd from 4pm to 11pm.
Summerfest will be held on Sistrunk Boulevard and will feature one of the top adult parties of the year. Dancing in the street is a big part of the festival and you can let the kids enjoy themselves in a zone specific for them. Many acts will take the stage including:
- The Woods Gospel Quartet at 4pm
- Nikki Kidd from 5pm to 6pm
- Ol Skool Gang at 7:30pm
- Howard Hewett at 9:30pm
Another act will be added in the 6:30pm slot, but hasn’t been announced just yet. Along with the stage performances, guests can enjoy many other events including:
- The Kids Zone from 4pm to 9pm
- The Food Zone from 4pm to 10:30pm
- The Merchandise Zone from 4pm to 10:30pm
- Caribbean Zone, NEW this year from 4pm to 9:30pm
The fraternity and sorority row is new for this year with plenty of specialty vendors, along with the steel drums, art, junkanooo and other features of the Caribbean zone. Hot 105 will broadcast live from the event, along with many local television hosts and radio celebrities on hand.
Enjoy the collection from the many art vendors or purchase something from one of the merchandise vendors. Jewelry, exotic treats, clothing and more will be available for purchase.
Admission is free and this will be one of the biggest parties of the year in Fort Lauderdale. Bring the entire family or just come out with your adult friends for a great time on August 2nd from 4pm to 11pm.
