They even offer classes for darkroom photography, digital cartooning and more. The museum caters to teens and children, but also provides plenty for adults.
1310 Gallery – 1310 SW Second Court, Fort Lauderdale
This gallery provides local artists with a place to display their work. It’s smaller at 2,400 square feet, but still provides some of the best art in the area. The space has three levels and local artists provide all the works throughout. Exhibitions rotate every month with many coming from artists from the FAT Village art districts and Sailboat Bend area.
“The Art of Video Games” – 501 Plaza Real, Boca Raton
The best exhibit found throughout the area is called, “The Art of Video Games.” This exhibit provides a look at the video game medium in an artistic way. It has been featured at the Smithsonian American Art Museum and traveled across the globe. The Boca Raton Museum of Art provides the exhibit with a look at over 80 games and 20 platforms.
“Day of the Dead” At the FAT Village – NW 5th Street, Fort Lauderdale
Known as the best event for artists, “Day of the Dead” provides a parade of fun. It happens yearly on the first weekend in November with record attendance just about every year. This is an incredible showing of all forms of art and provides entertainment you just cannot find anywhere else.
