ATA National Championships Coming to Fort Lauderdale

TennisA large tennis event is coming to the Jimmy Evert Tennis Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida from July 28th to August 3rd. This event will include plenty of tennis and cultural activities including the Midtown Summerfest on August 2nd. The entire family can come out to enjoy the tournament and all the activities.

Along with the Jimmy Evert Tennis Center hosting the tournament, The Tennis Club of Fort Lauderdale will also hops some of the matches. These two facilities provide some of the best tennis courts with clay surfaces in the area. Between these two facilities, spectators can enjoy some of the best tennis played in the area throughout the year.

Schedule of Tournament Events

The ATA National Championships include more than just tennis. From registration to the many events, players and spectators can enjoy all the happenings of the week including:

  • Junior Mental toughness Workshop – July 28th from 6pm to 9pm
  • ATA Welcome BBQ Greek Night – July 29th from 6pm to 8:30pm
  • Jungle Queen Dinner Cruise – July 30th from 6pm to 9pm
  • ATA Casino Night – July 30th from 8pm to 12am
  • Macy’s Night Out & Festival – July 31st from 6pm to 8:30pm
  • Youth and Adult Parties – July 31st from 8pm to 11pm
  • ATA Youth Pizza Party – August 1st from 7pm to 10pm

Midtown Summerfest

Another part of the week’s events is Summerfest, which is one of the most popular events of the summer in Fort Lauderdale. This event features all kinds of art, entertainment and so much more. Live performances, food trucks, vendors, a kid’s zone and even an adult party highlight the night. Dancing in the street on Historic Sistrunk Boulevard makes this event special for everybody.

The Midtown Summerfest event will be held from 4pm to 11pm on Friday, August 2nd. After the fun on Friday, you can watch the Match Play finals all day Saturday starting at 8am.
